Frequently asked questions
When our clinic is closed and your pet needs help, you don’t have to wait. Dr. C partners with VetTriage, a 24/7 tele-triage service staffed by licensed veterinarians. Whether it’s a sudden symptom, an accident, or you're just unsure what to do, you can get immediate expert advice—from the comfort of home.
Your No-Drama Pharmacy Playbook
Here's the inside scoop on getting your pet's meds without the drama.
Plot twist: Your pharmacist is actually part of your pet's dream team. But here's what most people don't know:
Veterinary behavior medications are their own beast. Doses, medication types, and combinations are totally different from regular pet meds. Veterinary behaviorists and specialized vet pharmacists? They get it. Human pharmacists at places like Costco or CVS? Not so much. They've been known to change doses, switch medications, or give our clients grief—all by mistake. Nobody needs that stress.
Refills Are a Team Sport
Your pet's meds aren't just items on a shopping list—they're part of a master plan. Most
refills happen during appointments because that's when we fine-tune everything to keep you moving toward your goals.
Follow-up schedule:
• Every 4 weeks for the first 4-6 months
• Every 3 months once things are cruising along
• At least once yearly to keep prescriptions flowing
Running late? We'll hook you up with a short refill (2 weeks max) to bridge the gap.

Skip the Refill Scramble
First move: Check your pharmacy - your meds might be waiting.
Pro tips:
• Use MixLab or Blue Rabbit.Their pharmacists actually know veterinary behavior dosing and interactions. Your pet stays safer.
• Keep those follow-ups on schedule. Your meds should last until then (most of the time).
• Need a refill? Use our Refill Request Form and fill out everything. More info = faster help.
• Running behind? We've got your back for a short stretch, but let's get you back on track.
Important: We can't handle refill requests that come directly from pharmacies—they don't give us the info we need from you. Always use our form and stay current on follow-ups.
Client Favorites
MixLab (delivery) – Clients are obsessed. Concierge service, lightning-fast delivery, plus free toys for your rockstar patient.
Blue Rabbit (delivery) – Affordable, reliable, and built for clients and vets. New clients get the VIP treatment with code DEAL20
Emergency Pharmacies
Human Pharmacies (pickup) – Fine for emergencies, but expect delays. Give us full name, address, and phone. Sam's is usually solid, Costco's gotten spicy lately, and Walgreens has taken some clients to the cleaners. They don't stock most vet-specific meds, so brace for recalls, generic drama, and staffing chaos.
